Well Wishes For the Future

3 Jun

It always makes me laugh when someone turns angry and mean after a few messages back and forth, when I have told them I don’t believe I am interested.. or that they have yet to pass my pre-screening tests and therefore I am not comfortable meeting up.    I’ve been told my pictures are probably outdated and that I’m probably really fat.   I’ve been told I am probably “only good for a blindfolded blowjob anyway”.. and sadly so many others.

Some people really don’t like being turned down.   The reason for the mean comments is because this is the internet, and although there usually are pictures..  some people don’t understand there is an actual person on the other end.   I believe that in real life this doesn’t happen when people are kindly turned down.

Today’s message is one of those..  except, to me – doesn’t seem as mean as others I have received in the past..  but again, is really funny to me.  (And honestly – probably true!)

“by the time you eventually leave this site you will be undergoing menopause. “

A look on the bright side though:   He thinks I will eventually leave the site!  There’s hope for me!!

It amazes me how weird people are. What was he thinking! But yes, there’s hope for you, evidently!

coincidence. i was just blogging about a similar phenom. how people feel free to say anything, including mean, hurtful things, because of the anonymity of the internet. its is sad. rude is commonplace now, and ok. no bueno.

Hi i`m 19 and have just started online dating, and I must say what an experience! I had this one guy profess his love for me after the first date. That really scared me..that would scare anybody. Anyways I met this one guy..lets call him M on okcupid.com. He seemed fine at first. We went out for coffee at starbucks, and he had alot to talk about and was somewhat cute. A couple of dates later, and I mean literally a couple, things started to change. He first criticized what I was wearing, saying that my leggings were too tacky and that I put no effort into meeting him. Buddy you have nooo idea how much effort a girl puts into her appearance. I spent over 2 hours getting ready. He then proceeded to tell me that because it was our third date that I should get tested for std`s and get ready to be intimate in the next couple of days. Needless to say I dropped him off and expected to never hear from him again. He then kept texting me, so i decided to end it nicely over text since we only went out a couple of times. This is how it went.

Me: Hey I`m really busy with work and school right now. You are a really great guy, but I`m not ready for a relationship (typical stuff haha)

His response (remember we had only gone out twice!): Thanks for making that decision for me because I was really thinking about ending it myself. And FYI you are NOT being mature. Mature would be telling me to my face and doing your best to make it easy on me. ( come on buddy seriously? WE WENT OUT TWICE). You are just barely being a human being and telling me ignoring me is what would make you the biggest asshole ever.

I never responded. Clearly somebody doesn`t like rejection. It always makes me funny when stuff like this happens. Good luck with your online dating!
