I think we need to start a new online dating rule: If your user name is something disgusting – you aren’t allowed to get mad if you get called out on it.

I mean just from that you could go with ‘LadyCumBeard’, ‘IHaveAGirlForAFace’ or ‘HumanCentipedeOfEternalOralSex’. And that’s just scratching the surface of wrong usernames.

I always love when I guy messages how much he’d like to get to know me and how beautiful I am, trying to come off so sincere…when clearly based on his username he’s really only interested in whether he can tease my lady parts.
I’m a firm believer that most men pick names they think their friends will think is cool…and not something that is actually personal.

Ofcourse, everyone respects their conversations with MonkeyBoner83 and MeatPump69. Those names are pretty much internet clichés by now.
I actually came across a girl who had “Twerkalicious” as her online handle. Had a rather civilized (strange word to indicate pleasant while online dating I guess) conversation with her. It turned out her friends had created her account and she had promised not to change the name. Not sure if that’s true, but in very rare cases the name is not the whole story.
I guess she could just be trolling around the online dating world, looking for interesting stories to kill some time, but my point stands.

It’s rather strange to me that even women do this. I had come across a few in the Philly area whose profile basically screamed whore. I on the other hand prefer to pick names that refer to obscure albums or references that a very small population would understand. The last ones I used on POF were Beelzebubba and Getcha_Pull. The first is the album by The Deadmilkmen with the radio friendly song “Punk Rock Girl” and the other is a phrase that was used by my favorite guitarist that meant do the things that you want to do, or simply just do for you. Besides, who has room for innuendo, it’s more fun to just be blatant.
